Job Purpose
- Set up and achieve annual target (Key finance target: Volume, Revenue, CM and key focus target: Focus products, Overdue, Sales forecast, SLOB) in compliance with Grow & Deliver from Korea Marine New Building Segment.
- Key Accounts Management.
- Maintains CRM up to date in order to follow real-time market situation.
- Provides various sources for supply chain to achieve optimum OTIF.
- Delivers latest market technical requirement to RnD to occupy future market and also create niche market.
- Gathers VOC (Voice of Customer) to differentiate our service activities.
- Monitors competitors’ movement to reflect into our strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Sets up annual sales target in order to achieve Grow & Deliver from segment.
- Tracks market intelligence for construction orders (newbuilding projects) and connect the dots with key information to define decision making process for a supplier.
- Manages unsecured/floating projects maintenance from the initial delicate stage to the contract stage.
- Implement sales promotion for shipowners/shipyards to draw out the in-advance supplier preference.
- Builds up a close rapport with key persons in accounts (technically/personally) to occupy strong position in the technical evaluation and price negotiation.
- Prepares product specifications, tender bidding quotations and technical evaluation sheets to be approved for tender bidding and keep sound margin management by price simulation per projects.
- Collaborate with overseas Owner Associates and functional teams (technical/marketing/commercial) to cope with various inquiries from customers (shipyards and shipowners).
- Manage risk management (product liabilities etc) in line with commercial policy.
- Manages claims and complaints from customers during the supply and after the vessel delivery to keep partnership.
- Ensures the accuracy of the monthly sales plan to improve the sales forecast ratio by close investigation on accounts’ construction plan.
- Secures strategic market share to keep market leadership.
- Analyses credit assessment within BU guidelines to get rid of credit risk.
- Controls OWC index within BU target to maximize OWC efficiency.
- Prepares annual P&D to develop and extend team & personal expertise.
Level of Autonomy
- All sales activities within commercial approval authorities.
- In the present situation, all decisions are closely discussed and reviewed by line manager for better decision making.
Requirements
- College graduate degree.
- Technical knowledge about products in terms of formulation, production, application aspect.
- In-depth understanding of new building construction process by shipyard and ship type (including part of offshore segment, e.g. Drillship, FPSO).
- Certified coating inspector program (NACE, Frosio or Equivalent level)
- Minimum 5 years field experience in marine coating market.
- Understanding financial report and credit risk management.
- Fluent English communication skills; Speaking, Writing and Presentation.
- Strictly comply with AN Code of Conducts.
