Job Purpose
The Technical Sales Representative plays a critical frontline role in driving profitable growth by developing new business and expanding relationships with existing customers. This role also delivers technical service and support both within and outside the assigned sales territory.
Main Territory
Vancouver area and lower mainland
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed financial targets
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits and follow-ups
- Identify new business opportunities and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Conduct technical inspections, audits, and training sessions on product use and application
- Collaborate with customers on cost improvement initiatives and problem resolution
- Provide accurate and timely reporting and communication to management
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer events
- Organize and participate in client-facing events (e.g., lunches, technical sessions, site visits)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $95,000 – $105,000
- Bonus: 15% based on individual and corporate performance
- Vehicle Allowance: $800/month + mileage reimbursement
- Time Off: 3 weeks vacation, 5 personal/sick days, 2 floater days

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the coatings industry (preferably heavy industrial or marine)
- AMPP/NACE/CIP 1 or 2 certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Proven track record in sales or customer-facing technical roles
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Ability to travel 30%+ and occasionally work evenings/weekends
- Must be able to travel to the USA on occasion
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
