Product Support & Regulatory Affairs Specialist – Introduction 
As a graduate in a Scientific discipline with experience gained in a Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) role this is a rare opportunity to develop your career with a world expert in making coatings. We are now recruiting a PSRA Specialist to evaluate and validate data sources, ensure regulatory compliance and help resolve to customer queries for our Performance Coatings business.


Product Support & Regulatory Affairs Specialist – The Role
•    Maintain working knowledge of relevant food contact regulations.
•    Provide guidance to assure compliance for AkzoNobel raw materials and products.
•    Identify the impact on the business of food contact legislative changes.
•    Identify potential non compliances & areas of risk to the business.
•    Communicate findings to stakeholders.
•    Produce regulatory compliance statements.
•    Collaborate with internal customers & resolve raw material & product issues.
•    Maintain working knowledge of European hazard classification & labelling regulation.
•    Advise in European food contact related issues as and when required.


Product Support & Regulatory Affairs Specialist – About You
•    University Chemistry Degree or equivalent in Scientific discipline.
•    Basic knowledge of the European Food Contact legislation & relevant guidance.
•    Awareness of applicable Chemical/Product Regulations.
•    Experience working in a formulating environment using formulation management software.
•    Competent in using Microsoft Office.
•    Able to understand & interpret complex information.
•    Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
•    Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key.
•    Experience of working with quality management system an advantage.
•    Attention to detail essential.
•    Background in product regulations, hazard communication and product stewardship desirable.
