Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for management of RMWH and Finished Goods Warehouse & external 3PL warehouses, maintaining 5S, HSES, Gemba, BBS.
- Establish a culture and build processes in logistics to meet the HSES & Sustainability goals.
- Overall management and supervision activities of RMWHs and FGWHs including inbound, storage, outbound both inhouse & external 3PL warehouse.
- To review, revise and develop SOP and training to warehouse staff.
- Maintain the FIFO and control inventory levels; maintain stock accuracy. Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement.
- Maintain dock and storage facilities in an organized manner; plan future capacity requirements.
- Transportation management for both local and export, ensure that shipments are handled quickly, safely, and within budget constraints.
- Drive a culture of Continuous improvement to meet key targets; to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures as well as company revenue goals and customer service objectives.
- Manage performance of service providers.
- Identify cost saving projects, monitor and track spending.
- Consult 3PL in managing and implementing the HSES activities.
- Support the appropriate transport models to deliver the SLA commitment in terms of lead-time, MOQ and cost effectiveness for company.
- Develop knowledge and capability of the distributor team.
- Align with Sales team for SLA on the customer feedback and competition benchmark.
- Coordinate with OET, QA, RD&I and Sales team in solving claims/complaints.
- Manage inhouse depot tinting at site.
- Provide tool and methodologies to external Depots to manage the warehouse operation.
- Provide consultant to 3PL warehouse manager to ensure the warehouse operations compliant to the HSE&S requirements.
- Manage the operation of Depot Tinting to ensure its capacity meeting the business requirement, the quality of colour accuracy and productivity.
- Ensure the new Colour quality control process in place, staffs are trained and qualified to deliver the standard colour accuracy.
- Coordinate with OET, QA, RD&I and Sales team in solving claims/complaints.
- Responsible for the management of the Logistics budget.
- Plan and ensure logistic capacity to deliver demand using available best practices technology. Develop and obtain approval of logistic capital plan & lead execution of capex budgets within logistics.
- Manage, coach and develop a high performing team.
- Set departmental objectives and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Being CI Lead practitioner, train other team members to drive logistics improvement projects.
- Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available; Interpret trends and analyses and review data.
- Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process. Ensure effective logistics implementation takes place relating to the changes.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation or related major
- 10 + years of relevant work experience (operations, logistics area) with at least 2 year-experience in similar position
- Experience & knowledge of warehouse management & transportation
- Strong people management skills
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM
- Project Management skills
- Financial acumen with strong analytical skills.
- Strong influencing & Communication skills
- Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint,)
- Fluent English, both verbal and written
