Job Purpose

Quality Process Technician is responsible for ensuring product and process quality by monitoring and improving process capability, handling customer complaints, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with industry standards, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting the scaling up of production processes in collaboration with R&D and Production teams.

Key Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and improve process capability to ensure consistent product quality.
  2. Investigate, resolve, and response customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  3. Capture issues in a helicopter view to highlight critical cases and trends.
  4. Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams for quality improvements.
  5. Manage and support quality projects for maintaining and commissioning new processes and systems.
  6. Support production teams in maintaining quality control measures and process optimization.
  7. Conduct training sessions on quality standards and best practices.
  8. Collaborate with laboratory teams for quality testing and data analysis (if applicable).
  9. Demonstrate leadership in guiding teams towards quality excellence.
  10. Work closely with R&D and Production teams to scale up processes and ensure smooth transitions from development to full-scale production.

  1. Works under medium supervision with the authority to make decisions within the scope of quality management policies and procedures.
  2. Leads quality investigations and implements corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
  3. Has the ability to drive initiatives independently while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  4. Has the ability to stop process production activity if impacting the Product Quality with acknowledge from Site Quality Manager
  5. Autonomy to decide from Quality point of view based on shopfloor condition & risk of quality product during plant trial process together with RDI & PE
  6. Autonomy to communicate with external side (Supplier – raising quality issue, Customer – Response Customer Complaint)

Experience

Experience:

  1. Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 1 years of experience in quality assurance or a similar role.
  3. Ability to lead meetings and present findings effectively.
  4. Strong knowledge of process capability/SPC analysis and quality management systems.
  5. Experience in handling customer complaints and implementing corrective actions.
  6. Ability to analyze and prioritize key quality issues in a broader perspective.
  7. Proficiency in English (both written and verbal communication).
  8. Familiarity with lab testing procedures and quality control tools is an advantage.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.
  11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or other quality methodologies.
  2. Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) tools and techniques.
  3. Proficiency in quality-related software and reporting tools.

Education

Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
