On Site Warehousing Manager

Job Purpose

Manage, plan, direct and integrate warehousing, vendor/toller and warehousing  activities to meet internal and external customers satisfaction through faster service, lowest costs and smooth flow for raw material and packaging in business unit decorative paints. Responsible for focusing on-site warehousing costs, Supplier OTIF, Quality and Hygiene, Health safety and environment, with good service level to stakeholder production, planning & purchasing department.

Manage, supervise, and control warehouse activities related to incoming materials, recording and material receive in real time SAP, including managing control of stock movement of consignment / toller material. On call delivery arrangement is also required to make sure no shortage interruption as part of review with supply planning team.

Key Accountabilities

Manage and accountable for stock accuracy on site warehousing for raw material and packaging use in our production and toller by delivering an inventory cycle counting procedure as per global / regional guidelines.

Lead warehousing activities in regard production supply to production and toller, pre-batching, inventory management & controlled availability of packaging via JIT system, and accountable for stock movement to production/toller to deliver high accuracy performance.

Manage, direct and plan on on-site warehousing personnel and systems as well as direct daily operations. People development and capabilities of warehousing staff is a key of success to deliver the performance, engagement, and high health index of employee.

Manage and control the requirement for customs or other logistics and warehousing compliance and actively involve in people and process safety on day to day activiti

Key Activities

  • Manage the balance of workload in warehouse area

Coordinate and supervise receiving, picking and issuing materials to support on time

  • Coordinate with production to meet on time production schedule
  • Ensure the arrival schedule of packaging's according to the JIT system
  • Perform cycle counting as per standard inventory count global procedure.
  • Analyze on irregularities to maintain stock accuracy at 95%
  • Perform annual stock taking as required by finance dept.
  • Ensure that loading and unloading materials is done safely comply with applicable company procedure
  • Good 5S Management implementation
  • Routinely is present in Tier 1, 2 and 3 meetings and follow up immediately the meeting result
  • Conduct and attend all meetings related warehouse issues (ALPS, HSES Program)
  • Participate in accident/ incident investigation and report any accident or dangerous occurrence immediately

Experience

    1. Minimum 3 years of experience in leading warehouse or production activities, preferably in process manufacturing.
    2. Has understanding on Lean Management ; JIT, KANBAN, 5S, etc
    3. Strong literate on cycle counting or annual stock take process
    4. High understanding on consignment stock management and toller management
    5. Computer literate, preferably able work in SAP system
    6. Personal characteristics;
  • Good interpersonal skill, ability to manage a group of people, high integrity and self-motivated
  • Possesses strong systematic and analytical thinking, with a great attention to detail
  • Has excellent communication skills, a team player with a high sense of coordination
  • Good command of written English
