Job Purpose

The ISC Site controller acts as a senior Finance Business Partner to the Site Leaders, Production Managers, Engineering Managers and Continuous Improvement (CI) Managers in the respective factories. The role supports the development and execution of the Manufacturing, Supply chain & Site strategy.

The role is responsible for multiple factories in Indonesia.

The Controller is expected to drive monthly performance, improvement projects, and in-control compliance. Finally, the role helps to ensure goods are delivered to commercial for final shipment and sale, at the most optimised cost.

Main KPIs: VMC/L, FMC, Supply chain cost, Inventory, Compliance.

Support the Business Commercial Controller to understand the integrated Profit and Loss performance. Ability to work in complex matrix organization and willing to collaborate with other finance pillars (shared service location: ISC FP&A, Costing COE, Accounting)

Key Accountabilities

  • As ISC Controller you will be involved with strategy development and its implementation - Identifies opportunities by using financial and market analysis and daring to challenge key assumptions to build the business strategy. Translates the strategy into execution which enables positive choices in order to achieve long term goalsISC Controller will drive performance – This will start with recognizing and ‘owning’ the targets and being committed to realize them. Engages with the business to monitor performance, identifying risks and opportunities. Proactively anticipates gaps and mobilises the organisation to close them
  • ISC Controller will influence decision making - Develop and drive scenario thinking, to visualize choices to enhance decision-making
  • ISC Controller will drive collaboration and change management - Takes the lead to be a proactive & constructive driving force in collaborating with other functions and with our other finance pillar colleagues. Work to understand the rationale behind transformation and be a change leader within your organization. Solution-orientated behaviour is needed to help each other solve cross-functional challenges
  • Work with key stakeholders to drive SLOB down, starting with monthly SLOB review and approval. Through involvement in monthly SLOB meetings, understand reasoning for SLOB creation and ways for reducing/eliminating
  • Develops, delivers relevant financial analyses that enable and drive performance management of ISC operations in scope, by leveraging local and regional FPA counterparts and central and regional ISC counterparts.
  • Manages an efficient and effective, accurate and timely financial reporting and planning cycle for the cluster ISC organization, including both Manufacturing, SC and local procurement. This includes amongst others the accurate and up to date product costing, FMC & logistical cost control and planning, OWC (Inventories & Suppliers) management, Capex planning
  • Ensures accounting/reporting for ISC operations in scope are in line with FEM, aligns with Finance Operations where needed
  • Ensures full alignment with local Site processes/policies with Regional/Global process/policies – Inventory Count policy, annual fixed asset stocktake
  • Expert at understanding the operations and SAP system, directing and ensuring the correction of master data and BOM errors.
  • Expert at understanding the operations of the ISC operations and responsible for driving financial analysis and using its insights to contribute to the decision making by the ISC operations
  • Specialized in determining and implementing the manufacturing optimization opportunities
  • Contributes to the strategic and tactical decision making from the financial and economic perspective
  • Support the implementation of IBP as main planning process within ISC, with a focus on Manufacturing
  • Partners with the regional ISC Controller, colleague (cluster) manufacturing Controllers and regional ISC leaders in the execution of the IBP implementation effort.

 

Key Activities

  • Control Self-Assessment (ROCK) – ensure timely completion of all assigned ROCK controls. Act as quality reviewer for the ISC related controls and ensure adequacy prior to submission. Work with Regional Internal Control representative to establish the appropriate internal control framework. ROCK quality review, drive culture of compliance in the organization
  • Inventory Management – ensures that all materials scrapped have been approved. Ensure correct understanding of the approval requirements and monitor the scrapping records against approvals.
  • MEC – review FMC & OLC costs WD2 prior to loading into HFM for accuracy and completeness
  • Fixed assets – Ensure annual count of fixed assets is completed. Monthly review of open FA-WIP projects to ensure timely capitalisation of open projects
  • Review monthly COOISPI report for open process orders. Work with QC team to ensure timely closure of process orders
  • Process order variances – review monthly process order variances to fully understand reasons for process losses/gains. Investigate material variances.
  • FMC overhead recovery review – on a quarterly basis review overhead recovery data as provided by FP&A team/ PC COE team. ISC navigator to review, provide commentary and actions in relation to over/under recovery.
  • Ensure cycle counts are completed as per Inventory count policy. All sites must have an approved local inventory count policy.
  • New capex project evaluation
  • ANT project review, validation & approval
  • Timely submission of QRF data
  • Provide support to Accounting controllers on various audits on information needed from ISC
  • L&OH rates review annually – ISC navigator to review yearly under/over recovery based on information provided by FP&A team. If overhead recovery over 5% of actual costs, then ISC navigator to determine what the new L&OH rates should be for following year

Experience

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in Finance/Controlling, preferably within Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Operations

  • Experience in cost controlling, budgeting, and forecasting within plant or supply chain environment

  • Exposure to integrated supply chain processes (planning, procurement, production, logistics)

  • Experience working in a multinational company is an advantage

  • Technical Skills

    • Strong knowledge of financial controlling, cost accounting, and variance analysis

    • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)

    • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret operational and financial data

    • Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus

    • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations

    • Ability to partner with Operations, Production, and Procurement teams

    • Experience in driving cost efficiency and performance improvement initiatives

    • Strong business acumen and ability to translate financial insights into actions

Education

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field

  • Professional certification is a plus (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
