Job Purpose

 

Product Lifecycle Management is an end to end process function that aims to enable improved ISC decisions and timely execution when it comes to New Product Introduction and Product Phase out process in alignment with the business and the operational objectives.

A Key objective is to ensure our product portfolio performance and complexity are in line with the operational targets by controlling the underlying processes that have a role to play (e.g. Innovate/ Product Management / ISC- Plan/Make/Deliver / Regional ISC & Commercialization). An efficient and effective Product Change Implementation process is therefore paramount.

As part of the core competences this role will enable an end to end governance through improved visibility, KPIs, alerts, insights, and process guidelines to manage exceptions.

A multi-functional approach and high-quality stakeholder management is essential. Product Lifecycle Management is a key enabler for IBP and is a key pillar in the AkzoNobel strive for sustainability.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Translates Functional strategy into medium term and operational plans.
  • Develops and drives global process design and technology requirements to achieve key objectives in the area of responsibility. 
  • Identify local requirements or constraints – through Gemba-walks and auditing in the various IBP steps and SC processes (Demand, Product, Supply)
  • Sets service level agreements and thresholds with functions, CUs/BUs and GBS.
  • Designs optimization and transformation initiatives for end-to-end processes and sets direction for detailed design.
  • Defines team structures for enablement of end-to-end process implementation.
  • Ensures consistent implementation as specified by the GPO to leverage existing operational processes and structure.
  • Ensures end-to-end process/data performance meets critical business requirements.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Master or advanced University Degree, preferably in technical, data sciences, or supply chain management.
  • ~10 years supply chain management and planning experience for a multinational company.
  • Proven project experience in SC transformation programs (people/process/technology) and IBP/S&OP processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Organized and high attention to detail.
  • Good people and change management skills improvement programs at a global scale and with diverse teams.
  • Good knowledge of databases, data processes, IT infrastructure, data modelling, and complex analysis.
  • Comfortable with data manipulation and data analytics – strong with handling large volumes of data.
  • Able to work in an hybrid model with flexibility.
