Our Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) development program opens the way to an international career in the Integrated Supply Chain area and prepares you to play key roles at AkzoNobel in managerial or experts’ positions.

Duration of the Program: 24 months. 12 months in Spain, after that 12 months on an European Site to expose the talent to AkzoNobel’s global culture and prepare them for future role throughout the world.

About You

 

• Fresh Graduate  of Bachelor’ or Master’s degree an Engineer (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Automation, Process..) or Supply Chain,  Logistics, Operations Management or related disciplines (purchasing, sales. Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, etc.)

•With maximum 1 year experience

• High performance student . Exhibit High Initiative & Leadership In Student Organizations/ Extracurricular Activities

• Clear career development in the Integrated Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, etc) in a multinational company

• Willing to relocate to other countries on completion of the 24 months GET program.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional teams.

• Big picture / connectedness. Logical thinking. Analytical skills

• Willing to learn & experience different functions/knowledge. Open & proactive to share and exchange.

• Able to interact effectively with customers, community and other AkzoNobel visitors on a regular basis.

• Willing to take responsibility and initiative. Adaptability. Ability to influence and work as part of a team.

• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

 

• Identifies improvement opportunities and designs solutions.

• Actively participates in process optimization and investment projects.

• Gain exposure to demand forecasting, inventory and production planning, and associated procurement and manufacturing processes

• Tracks and controls project budgets and timelines to ensure project completion within the approved limits codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and implement supply chain optimization initiatives

• Uses of statistical analysis and appropriate business excellence project management processes to identify areas of significant improvement and develops plans to realize the benefits.

• Uses data analysis and problem-solving methodologies to maximize plant and equipment effectiveness to achieve optimum life cycle cost of production equipment.

• Interfaces with offsite functions such as R&D/marketing and central engineering for the industrialization of new products, new raw materials and recipe changes ensuring that changes on site are controlled and managed
