Color Technician

Job Purpose

 

Capable to execute thoroughly any development color job – solid or effect color – as well as to fine-tune/ do adaptations for any existing color (solid & effect colors).

It is a Color development expert and consequently he/she can approve colors; in the color development job he can share responsibilities with another color development expert or superior, but in case that it is not possible he/she is fully capable to do the job by him/herself.

Due the experience he/she is able to teach/train new junior color developer in adaptations/color matches and new color developments.

In case of necessity he/she is able to have customer contact and in coordination with technical service or sales can work with customer issues as far as color matters.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • To create new adaptations (color match fine-tuning) for effect and solid colors and also to develop brand new colors (effect and solid).
  • To control and maintain all tools and instrumentation needed calibrated and ready to use.
  • Teach/Train new junior color developer in order that new people know all process and can be in future color technician developer.
  • To approve colors by himself.
  • To know and follow strictly all processes and guidelines – especially HSE ones - for color development and sample preparation.
  • To follow 5’S and HSE processes of color development department.

Experience

 

  • Preferably experience in color development in Automotive industry for 3 or more years.
  • English writing, speaking and listening in upper intermediate level.
  • Ownership and responsibility, positive attitude and self-motivation, hands on mentality.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office,SAP ,…)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team and independently when required
  • Fully comply with all safety, health and environmental guidelines, according to site and company standards

 

Preferably Technical educational in relevant field, e.g. chemistry, chemical technology, etc.

  • Typically 7-5 years of relevant experience with high school technical education
  • Typically 1-4 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree, or
  • Typically 1-2 years of relevant experience with Master’s Degree
