About the role

Responsibilities
- Category Management:
- Global Category management for assigned category / sub-categories
- Develop and implement Global and Regional sourcing strategies (SSM) for assigned category / sub-categories
- Developing a pipeline of TCO reduction projects per AN Sourcing Financial objectives
- Raw material market intelligence and price forecasting for raw materials included on assigned category / sub-category
- Risk management (supply, financial, supplier base, etc) o In-out sourcing strategy when required.
- Supplier Management:
- Manage supplier portfolio: supplier selection, negotiation, QDCIS improvement
- Responsible for the supplier relationship management ensuring mutually beneficial supplier relationships and collaboration at all organizational levels
- Key supplier manager (KSM) for High Spend strategic key global supplier(s) based in his/her category / sub-categories
- Introduce new suppliers
- Stakeholder management:
- Acting as key-interface between sourcing and TCL together with R&D Team for supplier innovation, new product introduction, complexity reduction projects and portfolio management
- Supporting escalated supply issues resolution
- Represent global category in regional cross-functional forums and programs (i.e. IBP, CM management, regional procurement programs and reviews)
- SLA implementation in AkzoNobel plants
- Contract management:
- Price negotiation with suppliers involved in the category
- Contract negotiation and implementation
- Portfolio management:
- Raw materials for assigned category / sub-category
- Sustainability:
- Ensure suppliers under category are aligned with AkzoNobel sustainability ambitions
About you
- 5+ years in procurement, supply chain or sourcing function with relevant experience in negotiating and managing suppliers
- Experience in developing and deploying sourcing strategies, sourcing excellence
- Proven success in driving supplier cost, quality and delivery performance improvement programs.
- Advanced procurement management applications (eg Coupa, Icertis, Ariba, etc)
- Best practice in functional area, business awareness, chemical industry market, commercial knowledge and strategic awareness, knowledge of supply base, supply chain value creation
- Expertise and knowledge of markets and dynamics
