Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job
What is the primary purpose of this job? Describe the 5-6 main objectives of the job and the approximate % of time spent performing each objective.
- Under Deliver Process Deployment and Performance management frame work, core responsibility and objective of this job is as following
- Deployment of Transport management System across assigned geography, which is going to be multiple countries and multi-Bus.
- Lead the transport management frame-work, ensuring that all shipments are routed through transport management for capturing shipment cost, carrier performance and shipment profile trend.
- Ensure system enablement for track and trace solution, ePOD implementation. And related centralized performance management
- Implement, run and publish transport pillar modelling projects, which results into Continuous Improvement projects to improve equipment utilization, reducing cost per liter and optimizing delivery productivity.
- Implement, run and publish service performance of transport operations and implement improvements.
- Data-analysis – run daily data analysis queries through TMS, support integration of PowerBI reports through the data-lake from TMS.
- Master data management – transport equipment, rate-card and route data administration and management for assigned geography.
- Key stakeholder in building Continuous improvement pipeline/opportunities.

Transport service delivery manager
- System Implementation and Maintenance: Leading the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the TMS software, ensuring it meets the company's transportation needs and integrates seamlessly with other systems such as our global power BI reporting catalog
- Route Optimization: Utilizing the TMS to optimize transportation routes, work with site teams to implement the optimization projects.,
- Carrier Management: Managing carrier performance, and service level agreements (SLAs), and monitoring carrier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service standards.
- Logistics Scenario modelling: Work with TMS and using SQL queries and LNM module within TMS suggest projects leading to utilization improvement , consolidation opportunity.
- Support in Freight Procurement: Provide historical shipment data and standard rate-card format to sourcing team and work with them to have on-tine sourcing cycle run efficiently to deliver price-price value to organization.
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, transportation costs per mile, and carrier performance metrics, and using TMS reporting tools to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Customer Service and Communication: Enable centralized dashboard and real-time visibility through track and trace to provide information to all stake holders.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives to deliver ANT: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization within transportation operations, leveraging TMS functionality and data analytics to implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives and drive continuous improvement and deliver target ANT.
- Training and Development: Providing training and support to transportation team members on TMS usage, best practices, and industry trends, ensuring that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize the system and perform their roles.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Deliver successful improvement projects to generate ANT as per target
- All transportation MIS is being published through centralized dashboard – service, cost, quality, productivity and ontime performance.
- Ontime performance management of carriers
- Sourcing cycle adherence
- Automated freight invoicing for carriers

Essential educational qualifications, relevant experience and requested skills.
The successful applicant should meet the following requirements:
- Graduate engineer with experience in supply chain and transportation flow design, degree in SCM or related field preferred.
- Having worked with TMS in a 3PL environment is preferred.
- Experience of 6 to 8 years
- Analytical & strong stakeholder management skills
- Data science, database management (such as SQL) analytics, modelling experience in area of last mile, first mile etc.
- Experience in Digital applications
- Project management
