1              . Purpose of the job

Provides technical support and training on the use and application of Powder Coatings products. Technically support new business conversions and drive technical services in maintaining existing customers.

 

2. Key responsibilities

 

  • Delivers training to customers on the use and application of the company products, coating equipment and documentation, both on-site at the customer’s location and within the training center
  • Conducts demonstrations of products and demonstrates technical problem solving / troubleshooting to the customers.
  • Performs technical scans and audits at designated customers / business requirements
  • Actively participates, together and as peer to allocated Sales Representative, in key phases of the sales process for successful business conversions.
  • Proactively solves problems of a technical nature occurring at existing customers.
  • Conducts and/or assists in the testing process as well as in the implementation of new products and technologies.
  • Cooperates with the technical department in handling complex technical issues and claims and in educating customers on solutions.
  • Maintains allocated technical company equipment in a safe and proper manner. Understands their SOP’s & effectively makes use of the equipment’s

 

  • Delivers periodical progress reports covering activities for the month & shares a monthly visit plan.
  • Promotes positive company image and develops long-term relations with customers
  • Gets familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures regarding personal conduct/HSE standards and acts in compliance

3.Level of autonomy

  • Independently plans & executes day to day visit activities depending on the business needs.
  • Report generation, submission to customer; Agrees with customer on the visit actions & follow-up actions.
  • Escalates to internal stakeholders on product issues with appropriate customer line findings.
  • Independently handles Technical service related equipment’s for benefit of customer as per business needs.
  • Evaluates all safety & related aspects of working location & ensures safe working environment before commencement of service activities.
  • Maintains activity/service records in CRM

 

4. Job requirements

 

  • Knowledge of coating plant and costs of painting
  • Understanding of the technology behind powder coatings
  • Understanding of how coating equipment works
  • Good knowledge of the Interpon product ranges
  • Ability to manage under pressure.
