Key Accountabilities
- Develop all types of color (solids, effects for OEM/MRO) independently. Work according to set priorities.
- Ensure color formula developed meets color guidelines and technical requirements.
- Can work with all color FD related software tools. Ensure operational excellence of all instruments & equipment’s. Create SOP’s, procedures identified as gap, or the new equipment or process involved.
- Review Aerospace color development requests received and plan, arrange and execute to complete the request on time on the agreed deliverables.
- Approve colors for self and for others. Give advice on improvement actions.
- Keep pigment info and knowledge up to date. Follow and train team members on following the color guideline for Aerospace coatings.
- Works closely together with other R&D teams (product development, solutions, applications) to come to the required results for the customers. Participate in standardization and optimization of color processes and data.
- Create and maintains all record with respect to color formula, tracking and technical reports.
- Follow 5’s, BBS, safety rules. Ensures a safe work environment.
- Continuous improvement of department knowledge and efficiency.
- Maintain document related to quality audit (AS9100), for the color procedure and process, instruments, and the internal meeting/communication.
Experience
- Hands on experience with 7 years or more in color domain.
- Basic knowledge of coatings.
- In-depth knowledge of the color process and procedures.
- Knowledge of colorimetry, paint products and statistical methods.
- Certification: Color matcher A or equivalent.
Education
B. E., B. Tech or M. Sc./B.SC. in science and technology
