1. Purpose of the job

Maintains and updates color information in color DMS for Vehicle Refinishes, Responsible for the creation of all types of formula requests for Vehicle Refinish and Yacht and ensures standard panel presence to sustain smooth formula development process in the lab. Reviews & monitors correctness & completeness of information in the databases and reports progress concerning CCIC/CE activities regularly. Responsible for the (physical) color panel file in the CDC.

 

2. Key responsibilities

 

Color information: Maintains all relevant color information related to car colors in the database (CDMS). Ensures up-to-date physical (and digital) panel file, including references (of variants) and formula panel spray-outs. Registers new colors in Panel tracking system (OPL) and maintains the information with respect to crossovers. Ensures the panel presence to be in line with information in OPL regarding various locations and departments. Gives feedback to the Color Development Group Leaders when information is processed, missing, and insufficient, etc

 

Formula requests: Input of the requests for maintenance colors resulting from (new) color information collection in the relevant product lines, and project colors by the Formula development plan. Initiates the formula development process by making color standards available for the formula development labs.

 

Customer-focused: To attend to the complaints escalated by the Local complaint handler in customer dynamics and Measure the correctness of formulas through type of cases registered in customer dynamics.  Update the appropriate Root cause of the complaint before closing it

Improvement proposal: Suggest improvements on the Color Process, procedures, working methods, etc. Implement improvements resulting from process evaluations, projects etc.

 

 

Quality: Gives feedback to the countries/regions/global organization when information is processed, missing or insufficient and reports situations to the management. Assures adequate and immediate input of data in agreement which procedures. Monitors the correct use of procedures, methods, rules, and agreements.

 

Support: Level 2/3 Helpdesk, for global color queries/information. Supports when necessary, specialist CCIC.

 

Safety: To contribute towards safe work environment by adhering to safe work practices in line with Corporate HSE&S directives & guidelines in order to build work culture driven by safety consciousness.

 

Reporting: Reports new colors received, CAR measurements collected, evaluated and Variants created for all Carmake. Reports on data correctness and completeness.

 

Staff performance: Proceeding from departmental staffing forecasts, assist in selecting staff on the basis of skills, flexibility, and professionalism programs. Drawing up and realizing training plans. Practicing delegation agreements with staff, coaching staff and assessing performances (makes improvement plans whenever required). Creating an environment and organizational structure enabling staff to realize the preset results.

 

Maintain transparent communication: Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email and regular interpersonal communication.

 

Team leading: Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning. Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.

 

3. Level of autonomy

Independently does naming the Akzocode for new colors , Distributes the CAR measurement for formula development.

 

4. Job Requirements

 

  • B. A or B. Com.
  • Word, Excel and Access, .Net Applications, CRM, SRM, QDR, SQL etc.
  • Hands-on experience with 2-5 or more years of experience in color administration.
  • Good English communication skills and people management skills to lead the team of Q Base Administrators with hands-on experience.
  • Good managerial, coordinating, and analytical capability.
  • Knowledge of Global Q-Base applications, Color Evaluation, Complaint handling, Data gatekeeping, TS 16949 standards, and Statistical methods.
  • Accurate, service-oriented.
