Job Purpose

Purpose of the job

 

 

IT Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of Assigned Color applications, ensuring their stability, security, compliance, and long-term sustainability. This role provides accountability for the application’s operational performance and lifecycle management, while partnering with Development Teams, Key users and Operations teams to enable the safe and reliable delivery of business change.

 

 

 

 

2. Key responsibilities

 

 

Application Lifecycle Ownership

  • Own the application throughout its lifecycle, from onboarding through maintenance to retirement
  • Define and maintain the application roadmap from a technical and operational perspective
  • Partner with Product Owners and development teams to assess the operational impact of new features and changes
  • Ensure changes are production-ready, supportable, and aligned with architectural standards
  • Participate in release planning, go-live decisions, and post-release reviews
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Collaboration with Product & Delivery Teams

Operational Stability & Support

  • Ensure application availability, performance, and reliability in production
  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management for the application
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
  • Make recommendations on upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning
  • Ensure appropriate monitoring, alerting, and support models are in place

Security, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure the application complies with organizational security standards, regulatory requirements, and audit controls
  • Own risk assessments, remediation plans, and vulnerability management
  • Act as the escalation point for application-related security or compliance issues

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain accurate application documentation, including User Manuals, architecture, dependencies, and support procedures
  • Ensure alignment with Internal Product Development frameworks

 


Key Activities

3. Level of autonomy

 

 

  • Responsible for managing day-to-day operational and lifecycle activities for assigned applications and is expected to make informed decisions related to application support, enhancements and routine changes.
  • Operates with a moderate level of autonomy within established Product Development Frameworks and Internal processes.
  • Decisions with higher risk, significant cost impact, or architectural implications are escalated to senior stakeholders or governance forums, with the Application Owner providing recommendations and impact assessments.

 

 

 

 

4. Job requirements

 

 

  • Bachelor degree/Bachelor of Technology in IT or from any associated streams
  • 5 years of overall IT experience, with at least 2 years in application ownership, application support, systems operations, or a similar role
  • Good understanding of color, colorimetry concepts, and color process is a great advantage; candidates without prior experience in Color must demonstrate a strong interest in the domain and the ability to learn these concepts quickly.
  • Hands-on experience of IT Requirement analysis, Testing and supporting enterprise applications in a production environment
  • Good understanding of market requirements and business and IT processes in other functions such as marketing/RD&I
  • Experience working with Incident, problem, and Change management processes
  • Application lifecycle management, including upgrades and decommissioning
  • Experience collaborating with global or distributed teams, Cross-functional teams, including development, operations and business stakeholders
  • Exposure to Agile delivery environments and working alongside Product Owners and development teams
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
