1.              Purpose of the job

 

  1. Development of an optimal factory plan for the short (13-weeks) and long term (24 months) in which you fulfill the market demands. This while considering the factory capacity and constraints.
  2. High-level understanding of the trade-offs between service, inventory and costs. 
  3. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of existing and future capacity plans/constraints (RCCP) at the manufacturing plant and distribution network, and knowledge of how production capacity can be flexed to meet demand.
  4. Manage exceptions and other activities related to production planning to ensure SEMI/FINI availability for the master production plan in line with MRP parameters and supplier contracts.
  5. Ensure master data correctness & proper housekeeping of transactional data.
  6. Ensure good communication and integration with other planning teams, manufacturing (scheduling), logistics, customer care and other stakeholders..
  7. Support projects and process improvement to enhance performance and efficiency of the required planning activities (SLOBs, Inventories and Service across scope site / supply points).
  8. Support the Regional ICO+SC+CE Supply Chain Manager for providing data inputs, Gap Closing Proposals and other required information pertaining to India POW

 

 

2. Key responsibilities

 

'1) Drive factory-wise SKU-wise production plan for forward 24 months, weekly plan for immediate month for ICO+SC+CE sites, Develop RCCP for the sites.

'2) Revise factory-wise SKU-wise production plan for Forward 3 quarter (weekly basis) the changes proposed in S&OE Meeting

3) Drive Kaizen Project in Production planning (Batch size rationalization & MRP output accuracy project)

4) Drive the weekly S&OE meeting for ICO+SC+CE India along with Demand Planner, Conduct the Biweekly SWAT meeting

5) Share the priority production plan and check agreed plan every week.

6) Daily Meeting with Scheduler on priorities, RM Planning team on Raw material priorities

7) Network Optimization: Execute the Network changes in production plan.

8) Use ANBI for OTIF Report and preparing Gap closing actions for losses

9) Support on timely production of export volumes for Cluster/ Region.

10) Update the SLOB report in the monthly IHART tracker, monitor the progress of SLOB reduction actions

12) Update and circulate the Daily Stock Status Report

13) Coordinate for Imported Finished Goods ordering as per Forecast

14) Be the focal point in India for Bonding export to Australia coordinating with all functions locally

 

 

3. Level of autonomy

 

What decisions may the job holder make independently without seeking approval from higher manager/supervisor?

 

  1. Create Plan Order in SAP to trigger Raw Material Requirement and Production.
  2. Balance production plan between factories based on Capacity utilization

 

 

 

 

4. Job requirements

 

List the essential educational qualifications, relevant experience and required skills.

 

 

  • University Education (e.g. Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other relevant discipline) with Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant Work experience of 2-3 years in FMCG, Paint/Coating or Retail
  • Focused on results
  • Good problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues, run accurate analyses and synthesize recommendations
  • Strong desire to challenge and improve status-quo
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and able to work under-pressure
  • Fluent and able to work in English.
