Job purpose

 

As BI Developer in FP&A department, you will be working in one of a kind exceptional and strategic team of 20 professionals, that support business in taking strategic decisions. The team is based in Poland, Warsaw and works in hybrid model. It supports all AkzoNobel subsidiaries and businesses in all over the world. Team plays crucial role for Top Management including CEO by delivering higher quality reports prepared in Power BI tool.

You and your colleagues will be responsible for developing, building, and supporting the agreed reports. The first stage of the reports will be conducted in Excel, VBA and PowerBI. For this position experience with SAP Analytics Cloud would be an asset. Results of your work will allow to better understand what has happened in the past, monitor what is happening now (how we as an organization can respond to this), and to be able to predict and analyze possible future scenarios.

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Generating financial reports during MEC with agreed frequency, delivering them on time to defined end users basing on SOP's/work instructions/L&F standards. Creating SOP's/work instructions.

  • Handling requests from business to improve and modify existing reports and dashboards or create new reports. Estimating the efforts.

  • Gathering and analyzing finance/business requirements and expectations towards desired reporting and visualizations.

  • Designing and developing reports within Microsoft Excel, VBA and BI solutions (AfO, Power BI, SAC) where needed basing on the established reporting standards.

  • Optimization/automation and harmonization of reports. Providing support to other team members.

Why you?

 

  • You have master’s degree in informatics, computer science, finance, (applied) mathematics, econometrics, or any other technology related field.

  • You have around 3 or more years of experience as Excel / VBA developer in a business environment and/or functional area including practical experience in the reporting optimization/automation.

  • Your knowledge of Microsoft suite (SQL/Access/etc.), experience in AfO/SAC and/or PowerBI or other BI solutions is solid.

  • You understand basic reporting and financial concepts (P&L, BS) within FP&A.

  • You understand reporting processes/standards, role of FP&A in the organization and ability to explain it to others.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, including articulating recommendations in a concise and timely manner.

  • You still want to learn new things and most of all - work with knowledgeable people to develop yourself, learn from others and have access to best trainings available on the market.
