Purpose of the job

Evaluation of the product in process and finished goods manufactured by the company, to ensure their quality.

Key responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty safely, satisfactorily, and in a timely manner.

• Organize the start-ups of mills to reduce response time.
• Evaluate the standard time for the first sample of the extruder to avoid producing substandard products.
• Register product entries and exits in the SAP system.
• Evaluate the start-up of the V Mixer product to prevent machine downtime due to lack of product.
• Evaluate and capture PCCs in the database.
• Evaluate new designs.
• Clean the Malvern equipment.

ISO 9001

• Conduct complete, correct, and timely quality tests of products in process and finished goods.
• Communicate results to plant personnel.
• Record test results.
• Record non-conformities of products in process and finished goods.
• Issue labels that identify the product.
• Comply with the requirements of the Integrated Management System and established policies (see Responsibility Matrix).
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the laboratory.
• Manage the calibration system for measurement equipment.

ISO 14001

• Know, understand, and support compliance with environmental policy.
• Know, understand, and support compliance with environmental objectives.
• Be aware of the significant environmental aspects and impacts of your area.
• Comply with procedures and understand the potential consequences of not adhering to environmental procedures.
• Be familiar with emergency contingency procedures.
• Ensure that corrective and preventive actions related to environmental matters are implemented.
• Report any problems and/or non-compliance with the environmental management system to your superior.
• Identify areas for improvement in the environmental system.

OSHAS 18001

• Know, understand, and support compliance with occupational health and safety policy.
• Know, understand, and support compliance with occupational health and safety objectives.
• Be aware of hazards and risks in your area.
• Comply with procedures and understand the potential consequences of not adhering to occupational health and safety procedures.
• Ensure that corrective and preventive actions that involve you are implemented.

Education and/or Experience

• IQ, LQI, or equivalent graduate required
• Bachelors Degree preferred
