Purpose of the job

 

  • Ensure the follow-up and fulfillment of the production program through the release of process orders, consumption of raw materials / finished product and closing of batches in the system, all this in a timely manner.
  • Manage the management, storage and disposal of the waste generated on the site in accordance with the applicable regulations.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Assist with on-time shipments to customer by utilizing production schedule. Organize and optimize those products into a schedule, which optimized the factory efficiency, as well as meeting customer delivery requirements.  
  • Ensure planned orders are completed to  support on time delivery and support initiatives to meet site KPI’s. 
  • Manage product additions to the current schedule, as required as a result of reject material (manufacturing) or urgent customer orders. 
  • Become first line of defense for maintaining the structure and order of the schedule once the schedule has been prepared and submitted to the appropriate departments.  
  • Communicate the production schedule to Production, Sales, and Nashville Management. Ensure open communication to stakeholders and changes to the schedule. 
  • Update and optimize the flow of products through the factory through constantly monitoring the factory performance and the position of each batch and make the necessary (small) adjustments to the schedule. Ensure materials and equipment are pre-arranged for production. 
  • Responsible for active development and coordination of production schedules daily or weekly in order to meet site objectives. Ability to forecast, expedite, make immediate changes, manage lead time with managing multiple systems and demands. Create and and maintain master schedules to meet production goals deadlines and customer needs. 
  • Promote the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures.  

 

Job requirements

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent work with 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing (raw material scheduling, customer service, and/or inventory control). 

 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience using the SAP system
  • Procedure for hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Familiar with Quality Systems ( Example: ISO)
  • Consumption of raw materials, release and closing of orders.

 

Skills:

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. 
  • Working knowledge of effective supply chain performance including supply planning, customer service, supplier and asset management. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, MS Teams, as well as SAP knowledge and MRP experience  
  • Customer focus, detail oriented 
  • Planning and organization
  • Availability for office and plant work
  • Work with cross-functional teams
  • Good organizational and time management skills 
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team oriented environment 
  • Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment

Activities:

  • Carry out the consumption of raw materials
  • Responsible for delivering manufacturing orders to the production team
  • Verify that the manufacture of purchase orders is completed
  • Reconcile raw material consumption against BOM
  • Close production orders, safeguard formulas and process parameters
  • Evaluate and analyze the material efficiency of manufactured products.
  • Implement processes in the manufacturing area to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Support in the improvement of new equipment and technologies to the manufacturing process.
  • Review and improvement of production and warehouse operation instructions procedures
  • Implementation of new practices and work processes in the search for operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with the quality, safety, health and environmental standards established by AkzoNobel and the clients.
  • Manage the management, storage and disposal of the waste generated on the site in accordance with the applicable regulations.
  • Maintain updated documentation in the quality system regarding waste from the site.
  • Know and apply the values ​​of integrity and ethics of the company, as well as the Code of Conduct including the Principles against Bribery and the Global Competition Law, and participate in related trainings in person or online
  • Everything related to the management of process orders.
  • ISO 9001- Everything related to the productive management of process orders.
  • ISO 14001- Management related to site waste
  • ISO 45001- Identify the health / safety risks and define the operational controls associated with the waste operation in order to control the hazards.
