Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to be the frontline sales person who is responsible for the execution of agreed sales and profitability targets established by the business within the assigned sales area by developing new business and expanding the business with existing customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Delivery revenue and margin according to budget (including accounts receivable and DSO)
  • Accurately project sales and projects forecasting ,reporting and pipeline documentation
  • Ensure customer retention & acquisition
  • Maintain direct contact with customers in the field, representing AkzoNobel in a professional manner to deliver customer satisfaction
  • Manage customer portfolio and pipeline
  • Create partnerships with customers to proactively grow the category, share of wallet
  • Drive efficient credit management
  • Take ownership of queries and complaints to ensure resolution on behalf of the customer within agreed deadlines

Job Requirement

  • Knowledge & Work Experience: Paints and coatings industry, 3-5 years of work experience in commercial roles, direct sales , store sales, sales to strategic accounts
  • Minimum sales diploma / certification or Bachelor Degree in business studies or related field
  • Skills: Stakeholder management, creating value propositions, drive, results orientation, customer service orientation, problem solving, communication and presentation, commercial and business acumen, basic understanding of cross functional processes and financial concepts related to sales and cost to serve
