Job Purpose

Monitors and improves processes in order to maintain or enhance Quality, HSE, Service and Costs levels on site.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitors the process performance through metrics such as RFT, MME, productivity, Waste Indices and takes action as required to correct adverse trends, performing plant based process investigations.
  • Develops plans to improve the above performance through focused improvement activities (in conjunction with the operations group) along with capital projects.
  • Interfaces with off site functions such as R&D/marketing and central engineering for the industrialization of new products, new raw materials and recipe changes ensuring that changes on site are controlled and managed.
  • Provides expertise for on site operations group during process related troubleshooting issues.
  • For capital projects, executes process studies, contributes to pre-projects and performs initial project
  • scoping and business case development, handing over to the project group for execution (except minor projects, <500k).
  • During project execution, plays a major role in commissioning, start-up and training, and then owning the technology for the site.
  • Stays informed about, amongst others, relevant technology, company news and current SHE standards, and takes action if necessary. Identifies what the pertinent information is to use.
  • Contributes to site (process) improvements and contributes to CI / ALPS projects.
  • Is familiar and complies with all the applicable corporate as well as site and laboratory policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct, HSE and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) standards

Key Activities

  • The job holder must have understanding of the process in order to Analyze the process down time and prepare the action to improve it as well as KPI
  • Has basic knowledge of problem solving and basic training on safety in order to solve the problems.
  • Share the best practice to other site with fluent language skills


  • Fresh Industry, Engineering or Chemistry graduate, overseas stint from school or internship is preferred
  • Fluent in English is necessary.
  • Extrovert with strong communication skills and cross-cultural communication experience
  • Positive attitude, high learning agility and adaptability
