Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job

1. Set up maintenance plan
2. Ensure full compliance (This position is responsible for proper maintenance and engineering of all facilities of plants, laboratories to ensure smooth operations carry out in order to meet customers’ demand in safe and efficient ways by compliance of local regulation and AkzoNobel rules.)
3. CAPEX and project management (He will be also closely involved in engineering CAPEX projects in ANPCK to ensure a successful completion and proper transfer to the site to maximum the pay out of the capital investments.)
4. People development (It is necessary to establish succession plan and procedure for making team members develop capability and ability, and manager must spread culture like this.)
5. Ensure competitive maintenance (Always he must control cost for maintenance and energy to gain competitiveness, and make all equipment enhance its value.)
6. Develops engineering plan for the site based on strategic agenda and investment plans
7. Develops, executes and/or manages engineering projects at the site to meet the proper efficiency, time, scope, budget, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
8. Advice on new business cases based on process modifications and/or modifications of existing operation
9. Leader in solving equipment, process and system problems at the site.
10. Identify opportunities and make suggestions for improvement in production process

Key Accountabilities

1. Mainly responsible for Contractor management / Substance register / Process technology information / PSI register / Maintenace and inspection plan / MOC / Hazard study / PSSR(pre start up  safety review) / PSM audit
2. Comply with all working safety rules and actively promote safety practice during daily operation to ensure all activities performed safely within company guidelines; enforce safety incident prevention measures and proper incident handling, including safety training, daily huddle & inspection and incident reporting & response;
3. Daily regular maintenance works arrangement and supervises maintenance staff works. Trouble shooting on the equipment or instruments to ensure production and lab operated under good conditions
4. Develop and enforce preventative maintenance and Predictive maintenance schedule for all equipment;Promote the participation of line operators in PM to reduce the equipment down time. On time handle “Maintenance work request”.
5. Participate initial regional engineer project design and be actively involved in the whole project to provide location input, coordination with local contractor, facilitate project carry out and ensure project met the initial design set up.
6. Set up key spare parts policy for equipment and keep active maintenance spare parts record to ensure spare parts availability all the time in a efficient way.
7. Ensure to maintain and update for all equipment manuals, drawings, and related engineering documents.
8. Ensure efficient operation of energy related utility equipment such as boilers, compressors, coolers and electric substations.
9. List critical equipment and maintain them in good control, good record keeping and valid certification. 
10. Coordinate with other departments on any maintenance issues.
11. Supervise the contractor’s works and ensure them meet our requirements on HSE and 5S policy.

Requirements

Qualifications/ Education:

Engineering(Chemical, mechanical, electrical etc.) background with university graduates

Business and/or Functional Skills/ Knowledge:

  1. Good understanding of chemical process and equipment
  2. Good understanding of Korean safety regulations. Strong safety process environment promoter.  
  3. Demonstrated strong leadership, people management and communication skills both in English.
  4. Demonstrated willingness and ability to muti-task between diverse demands and to manage change effectively with result orientation and customer focus.
  5. Good team leader and team player with training skills of developing sub-ordinates potential to achieve agreed department objectives.   
  6. Implementation Knowledge of 5S, ISO and TPM.
  7. Willing to go extra miles

Experience:

  1. More than 15 yrs practical working experience in paint or chemical manufacturing industry preferred
  2. Project management experience preferred

Other Dimensions:

  1. Organization: The job holder will report directly to Site manager
  2. Interfaces: A strong cooperation will be required with HSE&S Manager
