We are looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to work at our Maua Plant.
VAGA IN HYBRID MODEL, BEING PRESENT IN NOSSA MAUA PLANT FOR THREE DAYS
Job Purpose:
- The analyst of the General Ledger Accounting Team is responsible for delivering timely and accurate month-end close financials and balance sheet reconciliations, operating across all accounting activities for the North and South American units, in compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies. They ensure the faithful representation of the company's results in its financial statements.
- being part of the team implementation always observing IFRS aspects and internal policies.
- Also responsible for treasury accounting, cash repatriation and Intercompany, and mainly product cost routines.
Responsibilities:
- Provide internal and/or external financial analyses, consultation and decision support based on area demands, in such way that all kind of results demonstration are clearly grounded.
- Support analysts and interns of the department in their professional development, based on AkzoNobel’s career plan, to maximize team performance.
- Identify process gaps, opportunities and potential issues, based on SLA and Process indicators deviations, to anticipate problems and propose process improvements and correction projects.
- Proactively propose new processes and projects to improve Accounting Operations and other areas (Continuous improvement)
- Responsible to implement global projects / procedures in the region
- Responsible for new Policies and to keep the existing ones updated according to AkzoNobel Global accounting policies (webFEM) and international accounting standards
- Ensure the successful month-end closing and financial results generation, within guidelines agreed with all client areas, to support business intelligence and management
- Develop a good relationship with the client areas (internal and external), within the guidelines of finance area, with the purpose of cooperation between the business to create standardized processes
- Collaborate with auditors and inspectors, in compliance with International Financial Standards and regulations and AkzoNobel policies, to ensure the integrity of financial processes and results
- Advise and support NAM RPDLs and Accounting Controllers regarding processes, aligned with internal policies.
- Support the regional team in daily processes
Education:
- Graduation in Accounting
- Post-Graduate in Finance or Business Administration related (desirable);
Experience:
- Experience of 3 to 5 years of experience in the accounting field, with a deep understanding of accounting processes and financial statements
- Knowledge of accounting standards: Mastery of Brazilian Accounting Standards (NBCs), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and other relevant accounting regulations.
- Experience in Accounting Operations in industry
Specific knowledge/Skills:
- Advanced level in English.
- Intermediate level in Spanish (desirable):
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
- Be service delivery and results oriented
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power point)
- Knowledge of SAP
