Purpose of the job

The Treasury and Insurance Operations specialist job is a challenging position in a successful, professional, dynamic and innovative corporate function. This role offers an excellent and unique opportunity to broaden your finance skill set by exploring the banking and insurance side of our company. This role will make you familiar with how our company manages its Purchase-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes efficiently and effectively between our business and the external bank. Training and development will be offered to support a successful assignment.

The purpose of the Treasury and Insurance Operations team is to manage the daily operations of Treasury and Insurance. It is the center where all Treasury activities come together: execution of external/intercompany business payments, validation/settlement external FX contracts, settlement intercompany loans and external guarantees to support local business. Given the high levels of automation, the focus is on controls, exception handling, continuous improvement and customer support.

The key objective is to sustain efficient, effective and controlled execution of transactional processes at the lowest cost for both Treasury and Insurance. The challenge is to deliver on this ambition in a dynamic environment, dealing with constant changes in the organization, people, processes and systems. It requires an adaptive and client focused attitude, looking for continuous improvements.

Key responsibilities

Execution and monitoring of the automated daily SAP InHouse Bank / Payment Factory operations:

 

•    Payment runs internal and external towards the banks
•    Payment and bank statement runs, check and clear balances/accounts
•    Perform daily bank reconciliations leading to engagement with bank and business contacts
•    Ascertain and distribute exposure positions to the front office Treasury, while interacting closely with accounting
•    Perform predefined internal control activities

 

Treasury and corporate finance support:

 

•    Confirmation of FX transactions through electronic and manual interfaces
•    Monitor, action and resolve outstanding deal confirmations, including FX netting
•    Support corporate finance activities in the area of intercompany loans, guarantees, commercial papers and liquidity funds

 

Handling of daily service requests:

 

•    Maintain and update static data in the Treasury Management System
•    Contact for addressing issues on banking (payments and collections). Contact with internal stakeholders and bridge with external banks and insurance companies
•    Coach and support internal stakeholders with accessing and the use of Treasury systems

What you bring

A pro-active team player with a continuous improvement mentality, strong analytical skills and able to deal effectively with competing priorities in line with preset daily deadlines.

Other requirements

•    2-5 years of back office finance operations experience in corporate companies, insurance company or banks
•    Finance background and educated at HBO (Bachelor/Higher professional education) level
•    Fluent in the use of both oral and written English
•    Strong ‘hands-on’ mentality. The individual has a “can do” mentality and shows enthusiasm for the profession

Knowledge / experience with SAP Treasury is preferred
