Job Purpose
Cyber security is a top priority for AkzoNobel. Our objective is to protect our information and digital assets (IT and OT) by reducing our cyber risk exposure in order to pursue our business objectives.
Security Operations, under responsibility of the Security Operations Manager, covers all the operational aspects of cyber security within Second Line of Defense including the three core cyber security processes: Vulnerability Management, Threat Monitoring and Intelligence, and Cyber Security Incident Response and all operational aspects of security in the Second Line of defense.
The Threat Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and communicating cyber threats to the organization. The role involves understanding and mitigating the threat landscape, providing actionable intelligence, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the security of our systems and data.
Key Accountabilities
- Continuously monitor and analyze data from various sources to identify, assess, and mitigate potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of cyber threat actors, their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Develop and deliver comprehensive threat intelligence reports for a variety of audiences, including technical teams and executive leadership.
- Collaborate with internal security operations and incident response teams to provide actionable intelligence in a timely manner.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the latest cyber threat landscape, including emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of threat intelligence strategies, tools, and processes.
- Collaborate with other teams across the organization and outside of the organization to improve our overall cybersecurity posture.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (such as CISSP, GIAC, CISM, etc.) are a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a specific focus on cyber threat intelligence.
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms and cybersecurity tools.
- Strong knowledge of the current cyber threat landscape, including cyber threat actors and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex security concepts for a non-technical audience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
