About the Role
As a Technical Accounting Specialist (IFRS), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting across a range of complex and non-routine topics. Working within the Corporate Technical Accounting team, you will manage complex IFRS topics, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working with complex financial topics and influencing accounting practices at a global level.

 

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
•    Apply IFRS in practice: You support finance teams by interpreting IFRS requirements and turning them into clear, workable accounting conclusions.
•    Connect stakeholders: You work closely with other departments to gather inputs and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
•    Support smooth period-end close: You contribute to monthly and annual closing activities, including reconciliations, analyses, and documentation.
•    Work on complex topics and transactions: You support projects and specialized accounting topics with analysis and accounting deliverables.
•    Business-minded, compliance-driven: You listen to stakeholders and understand the business context, while ensuring accounting integrity and consistent application of policies.

 

Other Responsibilities
•    Contribute to accounting projects and process improvements across the department
•     Support process improvements across the department, including templates, instructions, and documentation standards.

 

What We’re Looking For
You don’t have to tick every box — we value expertise, curiosity, and a proactive mindset.
Ideal candidates will bring:
•    Experience in accounting, preferably with IFRS exposure; Big Four audit and/or accounting advisory experience preferred.
•    Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and financial reporting 
•    Ability to handle complex accounting issues with accuracy and confidence 
•    Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams 
•    A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills 
•    High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines 


Desirable:
•    The team uses Hyperion Financial Management, Merlin XL, Workiva W-desk and SAP CFIN. Whatever you do not know about these tools, we’ll teach you on the job. Further, we expect you to be very comfortable with MS tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education:
•    Degree-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
