M365 Solution Architect

Purpose of the Job

 

The Solution Architect is responsible to translate requirements into a Platform or infrastructure solution and describing it through architecture and designs.
The architecture and designs are expected to be in line with business processes and architectural standards, guidelines & roadmaps. 

The Solution Architect reports into one of the Platform & infrastructure Domain leads in the Center of Expertise.
The Center of Expertise IM is responsible for providing sustainable, efficient, robust and secured  workplace & core IT solutions.
In addition the team will be responsible to train, educate and ensure the right capabilities are available to meet the business project and major change needs.
In addition, the CoE is responsible to match resource demand with supply, to ensure delivery of required resources and that target utilization rate of the resources is met. 
 

Key Responsibilities

 

Must have experience with:

 

  • Experience in design, build and deployment of solutions on MS Azure and Office 365 platform.
  • Experience in extending SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and other application technologies.
  • Solid understanding of PowerApps, Logic-Apps, Flow and Common Data Service
  • Hands-on SharePoint Online design and development experience (SPFx solutions)
  • Significant hands-on experience in administering large O365 (Office, Exchange, SharePoint, MS Teams, Azure AD, Intune), Exchange hybrid environments
  • Ability to work with remote project teams and executing projects without being physical present.
  • Understand client requirements, business objectives and IT frameworks
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud services including, Active Directory, DirSync, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and AAD and Conditional Access Policies
     

What do you bring?

 

  • Master/ Bachelor degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study
  • Around 10 years of experience in the IT sector in general and with more than 5 years experience in the respective technical domain, expressing deep and broad knowledge of architecture, IT security, (technology) platforms and business processes for the specific technical domain and with (comparable) business environments 
  • Solid technical solution architecture experience with modeling and/or infrastructure / application architecture design frameworks (TOGAF), tools, technologies, methodologies
  • Knowledge and practical skills in best practice solutions in the shared solutions space
  • Knowledge of the process industry and relevant technological developments in the respective technical domain
  • Experience with consulting or business roles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical skills over multiple technical domains to identify opportunities and solutions
  • Anticipates on the technical, business and functional consequences on all levels (incl. strategies)
  • Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new trends and technologies
  • Ability to remain neutral toward technology, vendor and product choices, as well as to be more interested in results than in personal preferences towards any technology or vendor 
  • Recognized by others as authority in the own technical domain
  • Ability to balance the long-term (or “big-picture”) and short term implications of individual decisions
  • Ability to see the whole picture (“helicopter view”) as well as being able to focus in to the detail
  • Dedicated to reach and maintain high quality standards
  • Ability to influence internal and external parties
  • Able to communicate clearly through a variety of media
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
