About the role

At AkzoNobel, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Global Rewards to lead and evolve our total rewards strategy on a global scale. In this role, you will act as the centre of expertise for compensation and benefits, shaping frameworks that ensure our reward offering is competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business strategy.
You will partner closely with HR Directors and HR Business Partners across regions, playing a key role in influencing strategic decisions and driving consistency across our global organization.

 

Your responsibilities


In this role, you will:
•    Act as the global centre of expertise for compensation and benefits, partnering with Local Rewards teams across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC 
•    Lead global job evaluation governance, ensuring fairness, consistency, and transparency across all regions 
•    Design, implement, and continuously improve global rewards policies, including managing exceptions in close collaboration with HR Business Partners 
•    Own and govern the global job architecture and evaluation framework 
•    Lead global Rewards and HR-driven projects, including benefits harmonization and policy design (e.g. global car policy) 
•    Drive the design and implementation of global incentive frameworks, including sales incentives and variable pay programs 
•    Strengthen alignment and collaboration across HR, Finance, Legal, and senior business stakeholders 
•    Use data and market insights to inform decision-making and provide strategic recommendations 

 

What you bring
•    Extensive experience in Total Rewards, including compensation, benefits, and incentive design 
•    Proven track record managing rewards programs across multiple regions (EMEA, Americas and/or APAC) 
•    Strong understanding of global market practices and regulatory environments 
•    Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels 
•    Solid project and program management capabilities 
•    A data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into clear, actionable strategies
