Join our team as an Executive Reward Analyst and play a pivotal role in supporting the function of Executive Reward and Long-Term Global Incentives at AkzoNobel. In this role, you will contribute to global incentive policy development, program implementation, maintenance, and budgeting. You will ensure the appropriate and effective compensation of our executive population while managing the processes that underpin these initiatives.
Key responsibilities (what will you do)
As a valued member of our team, your role will involve contributing to various project-based activities aimed at enhancing the alignment of terms and conditions of executive employment. You will also play a key role in policy development, ensuring that changes are well-prepared and gain the necessary support from relevant stakeholders. Your involvement in the delivery of long-term compensation processes will be vital, helping us ensure that our long-term incentive programs are executed efficiently and effectively.
Your coordination skills will stand out as you lead interactions with regional service centers and strategic HR Business Partners, ensuring accurate documentation and data for our executive population. Taking charge of annual salary data activities, you will collaborate with data providers to ensure the most up-to-date information for all countries, specifically focusing on our executive population. In partnership with the Director of Executive Reward, you'll provide guidance to managers and HR Directors regarding individual salary decisions and help employees understand plan provisions during important career transitions like on-boarding, promotion, and off-boarding.
Additionally, you'll manage the administration of matters related to Executive Reward, including analyzing the costs and competitive landscape of cash and benefits programs. This insight will be vital in positioning our organization effectively for executive employees. Your contribution to the administration of equity incentive plans will be crucial, serving as a backup to the Reward Specialist LTI.
Furthermore, you'll drive the deployment of global recognition processes, modernizing our practices from paper-based systems to digital platforms within the coming months. This role will involve maintaining presentations, intranet sites, and correspondence materials, ensuring that awards are efficiently processed and celebrated.
Other Responsibilities:
You will support our year-end processes for the delivery of a compliant remuneration report as part of the annual reporting requirements. Beyond your contributions to Executive Reward, you'll play a part in identifying opportunities for improvement through thorough analysis of both external and internal data. Your insights will be instrumental in shaping our continuous enhancement efforts. In addition, your involvement in the development of HR compensation processes, tools, and reporting will further contribute to the evolution of our practices. You'll prepare essential communication materials related to HR and employee processes, specifically catering to executive and long-term incentive initiatives. Serving as a focal point for the Rewards team, you'll be responsible for maintaining our archiving system, ensuring that critical documents such as policies and employee files are organized and accessible. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be vital in this aspect of your role.
What do you bring? (Job requirements)
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration
• Between 1- and 3-years working experience in a corporate C&B team (international organisation) or as a Rewards Analyst in a consulting organisation.
• Ability to analyse data and other information and turn it into accurate and meaningful insights and communicate these in a way that makes sense and applies good judgement.
• High attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly as well as accurately.
• Highly developed Excel skills.
• Knowledge of market analysis/benchmarking
• Knowledge of annual compensation process
• Knowledge of STI and LTI processes
• Project management skills
• Focus on continuous improvement
• Accuracy and neatness in delivery
• Interpersonal skills
