In short (Purpose of the job)

AkzoNobel is looking for a Register Case & Care (RCC) Manager to join us in our headquarters in Amsterdam office. This role forms part of RCC team and directs the absence process on behalf of AkzoNobel.

Together with the second RCC Manager and RCC admin support (based in Warsaw, Poland) you will be responsible for the supervision of absenteeism for +/- 2500 employees.

The RCC Manager has an advisory role and ensures that all steps of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet Verbetering Poortwachter) are taken in time and is the linking pin between employees, company doctors, HR managers and AkzoNobel. Furthermore, the RCC Manager supports managers in translating advices of the company doctor into concrete plans for the reintegration of employees and explains the consequences of certain choices.

Key Responsibilities

•    You will manage the process around absenteeism of Akzo Nobel employees
•    You are the linking pin between HR Managers, Stakeholders (such as People Managers), Company doctors and the HR operations department.
•    You are responsible for expected reduction in absence costs by making sure correct actions in the process are taken in timely matter. 
•    You will have an overview of the current cases and identify in a timely manner where progress is stagnating and will drive action. 
•    Since Akzo Nobel is own-risk carrier for the ZW and WGA you will also be responsible for payment and reintegration of (partially) disabled employees.
•    You will collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payments to sick employees
•    To ensure compliance in administrative RCC processes and UWV regulations, you will work closely with the other RCC manager and the RCC administration support within the HR operations department.
•    You are an active member of a professional association (RNVC/RCS) & Maintain education for registration
•    You will be responsible for external communication with UWV, employment experts, reintegration companies.


 


 

What do you bring? (Job requirements)

•    Bachelor’s degree (Verzuim (CROV/ ROV) / Register Case Management (RCM/ RCMC/Rccm)
•    Minimum of 4-6 years' experience as a registered case manager in HR (level 1 and level II), preferably in a large organization
•    Up-to-date knowledge of social security, labour and employment legislation. In particular WIA legislation and labour law, own risk bearing WGA and Sickness Benefits Act, Regres.
•    Up-to-date substantial knowledge of HR policies and processes is required
•    Dutch and English language skills (oral / written)

•    Internal communication with employees, supervisors, site managers, company doctors, lawyers
•    Empathy and organizational sensitivity, ability to identify employer and employee interests
•    Able to work accurately and punctually persuasive 
•    Creative in finding suitable solutions
