Purpose of the job

• Provide leadership, management and oversight to the Netherlands People Services organization consisting of the retained in country Payroll and Register Care and case team

• Contributes to the execution of the GBS strategy and targets for the end to end Hire to Retire process and operation by developing, implementing and maintaining the organization, processes and services consistent with the GBS Service Catalogue, Customer Service Principles and HR target operating model.

• Build and maintain capability of the Netherlands Payroll Team

• Work closely with the People Services teams in the European GBS Delivery Center in Warsaw (contact center and work force administration) to provide an end2end service to customers (AN managers and employees in NL)

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the HR community in NL (regional HR organization and CoE’s) and partner with them in the delivery and improvement of HR services

Key responsibilities

The Payroll Manager is to translate and deploy Global GBS and People Services Strategy to the Netherlands as per HR/GBS operating model. Be responsible for the performance and management of the NL People Service delivery covering payroll & specific local admin services (eg Register case management) and local application mgt, ensuring SLA/KPI defined service delivery to management and employees of AkzoNobel.

• Contribute and set direction for the Payroll Team NL team aligning with Global / Regional GBS and HR Strategy.
• Builds and actively manages stakeholder network (HRBP, GPO, HR CoEs and other business stakeholders) to analyze business requirements, align and report on service performance. Maintains a good communication around issues and opportunities.

Performance Management: 
• Ensure on time and accurate payroll delivery in the Netherlands.
• Ensure development and accurate tracking of global Payroll KPIs.
• Builds and maintains Payroll Business Continuity Planning.
• Drives deployment and extension of People Services processes, standards and delivery capabilities across the country in close collaboration with the regional and global PS teams.
• Ensures that the GBS Service Delivery in terms of quality, quantity and timeliness is being performed against KPIs as agreed in the SLAs.
• Responsible for the achievement of high-level customer satisfaction.
• Manages service levels, set targets for service improvement, track costs and deliverables of third party vendors.

Team Management:     
• Ensures the team is staffed according to blueprints and required capabilities.
• Provides a working climate which stresses good communication and fosters a team approach. Stimulate and facilitate interactions and cooperation across the region.
• Manages and develops a high performing and highly capable hire to retire service team.

Operational Excellence:
• Optimize information flows towards PS customers and interact with other parties in the Service Delivery Model.
• Drives payroll quality end-to-end
• Manages and channels performance feedback, drives continuous improvements across in-scope processes & services, enhance customer experience and satisfaction.


What do you bring?

• 5-10 years of HR & Payroll experience, relevant (HR) service center working experience
• At least 3 years of managerial experience
• Ability to work on a strategic and tactical level
• Solid knowledge and experience with Payroll (and HR) processes are required
• Excellent English & Dutch written and verbal communications skills
• Results driven, detail oriented, deliver on commitments, project management, customer orientation, stakeholder management in matrix environment
