AkzoNobel, a global leader in paints and coatings, is seeking a talented and experienced Procurement Project and Process Development Manager to join our team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in executing our global Source to Pay (S2P) strategy and lead the implementation of key process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the vision, strategy, and policy for the global S2P process in alignment with the Global Process Owner (GPO).
- Lead the implementation of global process improvement initiatives and IT solutions, with a primary focus on the source-to-contract domain.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean principles in procurement processes and IT solutions.
- Identify process inefficiencies and work with cross-functional teams to develop cost-efficient solutions.
- Manage relations with a diverse group of stakeholders on a strategic level, handling opposing interests and building a relevant network.
- Contribute to the development of new policies, rules, and procedures and improve existing ones.
- Coach and support more junior colleagues in project management.
Requirements:
- University or Master's degree.
- Minimum 8-10 years of global procurement and integrated supply chain experience in a global landscape.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within complex international organizations.
- Minimum Lead Practitioner CI/Six Sigma Brown or Black Belt.
- Expertise in various project management methods and tools.
- Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain, and R&D functions, including strategy, processes, systems, and organization.
- Change management skills and continuous improvement experience in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent communicator, with the ability to engage with content experts and key stakeholders.
- High level of stress resistance, flexibility, and a problem-solving attitude.
- Strong project management experience.
- Credible, trustworthy, open to new ideas, and able to form strong teamwork-based relationships.
- Fluent in English and willing to travel.
- Familiarity with ERP and Business Intelligence Systems.
