Purpose of the internship

AkzoNobel is looking for an intern to work directly with the NPR Procurement team to support with indirect procurement activities within Benelux region. The intern will interact with local, regional and global buyers, as well as local stakeholders. 
This role offers a wide exposure to different commodities within AkzoNobel procurement in both Enterprise and Manufacturing services areas. NPR Procurement team offers an opportunity to develop in an international work environment within both operational and project work

 

Starting date: as soon as possible in alignment with the candidate. 
Duration: minimum 6 months
Location: the main location is Amsterdam and one day a week at location Sassenheim

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Supporting in conducting RFx’s (vendor sourcing, coordination, analysis)
  • Leading vendor master data activities, such as onboarding, and data changes, as well as identify areas for improvement 
  • Supporting with data analysis to identify spend reduction and other commercial opportunities
  • Support with driving Purchase Order approvals Working with suppliers to optimise items available in eProcurement catalogues 

What do you bring?

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor / Master degree in Supply Chain / Procurement / Business Administration or similar degree for the duration of the internship 
  • Fluency in English 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular), as well as PowerBI
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, strong team player 
  • Availability of 32-40 working hours per week
