Job Purpose
The innovative and effective deployment of data and analytics is key to the success of companies today. AkzoNobel is no exception as we seek to embed the improved understanding of data across the company. Identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize the use of data within our Research & Development (R&D), Manufacturing, Integrated Supply Chain (ISC), Marketing and Sales, Finance, HR and Sourcing Functions have been services delivered from our MDM Global Organisation over the last few years. We need additional support in these areas with a strong focus on Innovate, Plan, Make and Deliver. For these reasons, GBS Master Data Services requires a Data Domain Expert to support our R&D and ISC functions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for (or support) the activities done by the CoE for the R&D and ISC data domains in alignment with the MDM roadmap.
- Working together with stakeholders on new dashboard requirements and implementing them
- Build, Monitor, and Improve data quality and process monitoring dashboards via Alteryx and Power Bi
- Responsible for data monitoring, data analysis & data cleansing
- Defining data standards, cleansing (Get Clean) and monitoring (Dashboard/KPIs) of the data quality
- Continued focus on standardization and optimisation of data reports and dashboards.
- Ability to utilize metrics to identify opportunities for service improvement
- For the relevant data domain, drives standardized End to End Processes and Tools around MDM to Improve Quality of Delivery, Optimize Cost to Serve, Control & Compliance, and Enhancing Customer Experience.
- Support the MDS CoE Team Lead to build an MDM roadmap for the relevant data domain
- Support the scope and activities of projects and processes and ensures execution
- Act as a change agent and communicator for MDS, enabling continuous commitment for and awareness of MDM
- IM touchpoint, driving master data standardization, organizational and system alignment for the relevant data domain
- Foster communication and teamwork within, and across organizational boundaries
Requirements
- Post-Graduation in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3-5 years’ overall experience with 2-3 years’ experience in MDM-related function, supporting R&D and ISC
- SAP experience required, preferably with product domain knowledge
- Knowledge on master data, transactional data and an understanding of SAP manufacturing data objects
- Ability to deliver quality work within strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities and acting with a sense of urgency
- Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with stakeholders, the external teams, and with internal teams
- Experience in complex business environments with multiple stakeholders
- Leverages business understanding and its requirements to run MDM operations with the right level of controls in place
Preferred:
- Experience in Product Vision & OMP tooling, or similar
- Experience in data quality, data governance and data cleansing
- Continuous Improvement focused, relevant CI certification
- Experience in Project Management, with supporting certification
- Experience in Alteryx, PowerBI and/or dashboarding skills
