Lets paint a picture of the internship:

The Marketing Communications Intern will support the execution of key marketing communication activities and campaigns within the Automotive and Vehicle Refinishes division. The role will focus on activating communication assets across digital platforms and channels. 


They will leverage data-driven insights to look at how we can optimize activations, enhance digital channel performance, and will contribute to achieving key marketing communication objectives. Additionally, the intern will provide recommendations for improvement opportunities to marketing teams and will assist in managing daily tasks related to the McLaren Racing marketing partnership.

 

This internship can be based in either our Amsterdam or Sassenheim office, with the start date determined in agreement with the applicant. The duration of the internship is 6 months.

 

The selected intern will receive full onboarding and training to ensure they have the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in the role. They will work closely with the Communications Manager to meet key objectives and develop their skills in marketing communications

Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • Responsible for posting content across global social media channels in alignment with the global marketing communications plan as defined by the Global Marketing Communications Manager.
  • Monitor engagement, track performance metrics, and create reports to show results againstkey performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze social media data and propose ideas to enhance the effectiveness of these channels to increase engagement and brand awareness.

 
Marketing Campaign Support:

  • Assist in executing marketing campaigns, including content creation, scheduling, and audience engagement.
  • Support brand awareness activities through digital marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging content and messaging for various online platforms.
  • Support with designing assets for adverts (digital and print) exhibition stands and social media posts.

 
McLaren Partnership Support:

  • Coordinate tasks related to the  McLaren Racing partnership, including content  creation, event planning, logistics, and digital campaigns.
  • Manage giveaway promotions, digital campaigns, and customer engagement activities associated with the partnership.
  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment with partnership objectives.

 
Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze the performance of digital marketing and social media efforts.
  • Provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Assist in the evaluation of campaign effectiveness and propose improvements.

What do you need to have to be successful in this internship?

Education & Background:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Some experience in digital communications, social media management, or content creation (through internships, academic projects, or personal initiatives).
  • A proactive and curious mindset with a strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced marketing environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, adapt to new challenges, and seek creative solutions.
