Job Purpose

• The Regional Supply Chain controller supports the Head of Regional ISC Finance in leading the ISC Control organization within the region. Acts as the key business partner for the regional Supply Chain team and supports in designing and executing the functional strategy.
• As a member of the regional ISC Finance Leadership team, co designs and operationalizes the Regional ISC Finance organization in close alignment with the regional cluster controllers, the global Supply Chain controller and relevant stakeholders in FP&A and commercial finance.
• Leads key ISC finance projects and represents ISC Regional finance in project teams
• Develops and supports an efficient, effective , accurate and timely financial reporting and planning cycle for the regional SC organization as well as the linkage of ISC to assigned relevant (Global) BU’s  
• Drives regional ISC projects with impact in both manufacturing and Supply Chain and initiatives and leverages the (cluster) manufacturing control organization in supporting those initiatives across EMEA
• Ensures that ISC decisions are made in line with long term value creation objectives, within the applicable financial and other frameworks (such as corporate policy, strategic, operational, legal, social responsibility etc.).
• Ensures that adequate controls are in place in line with AN’s in control framework.

Responsibilities & Key Stakeholders

• Key stakeholders in the important role are the Regional Supply Chain Director, Regional Logistics Manager, BU Supply Chain Managers, BU Commercialization Managers, Business Operations Directors
• Develop and manage an efficient, effective, accurate and timely financial reporting and planning cycle for the regional SC organizations, as well as the linkage of ISC to assigned relevant BU’s.  
• Supports and guides ISC (cluster) Controllers in the region to execute the regional ISC strategy and functional ISC Finance strategy
• Expert at understanding the operations of the business and responsible for driving financial analysis and using its insights to contribute to the decision making by the business
• Specialized in determining and implementing the distribution & warehousing footprint across the region
• Drive as member of the BU Sourcing Board, decision making in line with AkzoNobel’s value creation strategy through support on commercialization projects. 
• Support in driving down and prevent slow moving inventory and scrap costs through the I-Hart process.  
• Play a prominent role in Capex planning (AR) and investment decisions
• Support the implementation of IBP as main planning process within ISC, and specially within Supply Chain as main owner of this process. Partners with the Head of regional ISC Finance, ISC (cluster) Controllers and regional ISC leaders in the execution of the IBP implementation effort.
• Collaborates with other areas of the Finance function to ensure reliable, timely and correct supply of information and the proper set-up and functioning of the ISC planning & control-processes, administrative organization, internal controls and information systems



This position is graded in MM6


Job Requirements

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in economics, accounting, business administration or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in multiple finance positions in an industrial/manufacturing environment (this very much depends on the site and the profile of the candidate)
• Drives changes and transformation agenda with passion, continuous improvement minded, hands-on with a can-do mentality
• Independent, self-starting and interested in what is behind the numbers
• Highly analytical, with problem-solving and pragmatic skills
• Able to communicate effectively with site management and others on site
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English, both verbal as well as in writing
• High proficiency in SAP and other business applications
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong leadership skills and ability to build strong collaborative teams in a matrix organization, without necessarily relying on hierarchy
• High level of customer orientation, strategic orientation, results orientation, change management, ownership and collaboration
• Able to build (informal) networks within the organization and manage changes
