AkzoNobel is seeking a qualified and experienced Global HR System Expert to join our team. As the Global HR System Expert, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our HR systems, specifically SuccessFactors, across various domains and ensuring their seamless integration within our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong technical background in HR systems who are passionate about driving continuous improvement and supporting global HR processes.

The role will involve working closely with our third party IT vendor to translate the complexity of the system landscape into the day to day usage and processes. You will also be responsible for delivering services to the HR function, by continuous improvement of the HR systems in use.

Purpose of the job

  • Change management, projects, and continuous improvement (60% of time):
    You will act as the key liaison between the HR function and our third-party IT vendor responsible for system configuration. Your responsibilities will involve managing system changes, defining priorities, translating change requests into actionable stories, assessing system changes, facilitating testing and deployment, and continuously improving the system.

 

  • System support and alignment with operations teams (20% of time):
    Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, including global support teams, regional and country People Services teams, and European HR systems support teams. You will focus on improving SuccessFactors based on feedback and trends provided by the operations team. This includes system enhancements, support, training, and ensuring successful releases and reporting activities.

 

  • System Training (10%):
    You will ensure the maintenance and adherence to global standard processes, tools, and documentation. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will co-develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Additionally, you will provide training to the stakeholder community on new processes/functionality and train new system administrators.

 

  • Individual Development (10%):
    Maintaining your expertise in HR systems, you will stay up-to-date with global HR system trends and HR Information System application/tools. This involves researching trends, attending conferences, and actively participating in user group meetings.

 

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Global HR System Expert include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as a counterpart for the HR Function and regional People Services teams, proposing system improvements, reporting issues, and challenging defined processes.
  • Coordinating activities with the third-party vendor, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Providing expertise to enhance efficiency and quality by standardizing, optimizing, and automating global HR processes.
  • Presenting proposals to critical stakeholders.
  • Delivering solutions for end-user issues in specific SuccessFactors domains.
  • Offering subject matter expert support in improvement projects.
  • Maintaining relevant workflows or delegating them to the support team.
  • Staying updated on market trends and developments related to HR systems.
  • Ensuring an end-to-end overview, including domain integration and system interconnections.
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge and support through the SuccessFactors community portal.

 

What do you bring?

To be considered for the position of Global HR System Expert, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a customer-focused, technical support-based role (preferably in HR, possibly IT).
  • Extensive knowledge of SuccessFactors, preferably across multiple modules.
  • Proactive, supportive, and capable of building a community.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and handling data analysis.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a high standard of written and spoken English.
  • Presentation skills to organize and host system demos for end users.
  • Experience in project management and process improvement.
  • Ability to work under time pressure, manage priorities, and meet expectations.
