To address the growing complexity of our data landscape, we’ve established a Master Data Management (MDM) Center of Excellence (CoE). This team will focus on our data to drive efficiency and growth across the organization. As our data volume increases, a well-structured data management strategy is essential.
The MDM CoE is seeking an experienced Global Data Architect Innovate, Plan, Make & Deliver to solve challenges. This expert will work on our overall Data Management maturity.
Responsibilities
- MDM CoE Support: Manage or support activities for assigned Data Domains across MDM Foundation, Projects, and Analytics.
- Process Improvement: Drive standardized processes and tools to enhance delivery quality, optimize costs, ensure compliance, and improve customer experience.
- Roadmap Development: Assist GPOs in building data, reporting, and analytics roadmaps.
- MDM Strategy: Communicate and implement the MDM vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Controls & Maintenance: Implement controls for MDM operations, including downstream system impacts.
- Data Dictionary: Develop a data dictionary with naming conventions and governance.
- Data Quality: Lead data quality efforts, including setting standards, data cleansing, and monitoring.
- KPIs & Compliance: Develop KPIs to monitor compliance in the Global MDM Dashboard.
- Governance & Escalation: Act as the Single Point of Contact for data domains, organize governance, and manage issue escalation.
- Change Management: Serve as a change agent for MDM, driving commitment and awareness.
- Standardization: Align master data standards across systems, focusing on innovation and reducing costs.
- Collaboration: Foster teamwork across organizational boundaries and manage multiple complex assignments.
- Customer Service: Ensure strong customer service and support while managing dynamic priorities.
- International Awareness: Adapt to cultural differences with an international mindset.
What do you need to have to be successful in this role?
- Education: Post-graduate in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 10+ years overall, with 7-8 years in process-related functions and data support.
- Systems Knowledge: SAP knowledge. Strong IT/system configuration knowledge and implementation experience.
- Project Management: Experience in project/program management, with certification preferred.
- Process Expertise: Skilled in implementing standardized E2E business processes.
- Business Interaction: Experience working with operational customers, including senior management.
- Data Improvement: Proficient in process and data improvement, using root cause analysis.
- Complex Environments: Experience in complex IT and business environments.
- Regulatory Understanding: Knowledge of external regulatory and industry best practices.
- Data Design: Designs data models using best practices and business insights.
- Cross-functional Partner: Recognized as a credible partner across teams and functions.
- High Quality & Deadlines: Consistently meets deadlines with high-quality work.
- Communication: Strong communicator and change agent, fostering dialogue across stakeholders.
- Travel: Available for moderate travel.
