Purpose of the job

The Digital Experimentation Designer sets the standards for digital experimentation, defines the process and enables the organization to learn and assess the value of ideas in a flexible, fast and value driven way.

You will engage with senior stakeholders in different parts of the business to help them understand how to experiment more, in an agile way, and how to better use the different methodologies that we promote to increase customer centricity, flexibility and speed.

In addition you will work on delivering winning propositions, leveraging past learnings and becoming more predictive. You proactively implement digital experimentation to gain insights (more insight creation than validation or “tick the box” research). You ensure application of state of the art tools and technologies and orchestrate the implementation of tools for experimentation.

Most of all you are the Go-to Person for all Digital Experiments related to the business and support functions, you develop and run the program to embed digital experimentation capabilities and you support ensuring we use digital experiments for the right purpose. Ensure further development of the digital experiments methodology in terms of set-up, benchmarking, reporting, significant differences, identifying target consumers / audiences.


Key responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with business end-users to identify pain points, use cases and problem definitions suitable for experimentation or PoVs
  • Actively involve, guide and coach teams in setting up experiments from rapid prototyping until MVP to test hypothesis and validate the potential value for the business
  • Analyze and provide valuable insights from the experiments ready for decision making and learning
  • Investigate and recommends state of the art concepts, tools and methodologies to facilitate mindset change geared to experimentation and to increase cross functional collaboration
  • Define, develop and roll out the learning curriculum for experimentation to roll out across the organization
  • Implement experimentation processes, principles and practices across all levels and departments in the organization
  • Develop and maintain a core experimentation design and analysis library
  • Define the structure, metrics and tools needed to run and report on experiments
  • Organize meetups and conferences related to digital experimentation to increase awareness across the organization on the importance of experimentation and new ways of working
  • Manage a community building to stimulate knowledge sharing
  • Build and manage an ecosystem of partners to support digital experimentation globally

What do you bring?

  • Masters degree or comparable in business, innovation or digital
  • 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experienced in innovation experimentation using Lean Startup and Business Models as approach
  • Fluent in (Business) English
  • Understands and supports others with the interpretation of data out of experiments to create value-based insights and make decisions
  • Experienced in agile ways of working and design sprints
  • Experienced coaching or leading projects in service/ digital innovation
  • Experienced in learning, culture, change management
  • Experienced in facilitating, teaching and engaging small to large audiences
  • Knowledgeable in UI/UX
  • T-shaped profile
  • Good understanding and knowledge of new technologies and ability to identify new value added opportunities using those technologies with the business
  • Experienced in design and rapid prototyping including tools: A/B testing tools, Mockup, Data tooling, social medial, business models and value propositions
