Purpose of the job

The Delivery Management Officer is responsible for managing all invoices and payments within GBS-IM Access Unified Communications (AUS) and End-User Services (EUS) globally (44MM) and the involved suppliers to ensure the invoices get processed and paid, and the spent is aligned with the budget. 

 

The Delivery Management Officer is responsible for both daily financial administrative operations, as well as long-term cost optimizations in direct contact with key suppliers. The function is currently on a low maturity level and needs a clear quality inject. Immediate attention points are e.g. long outstanding invoices and the unknown status of invoices both within Akzonobel as with our suppliers. The Delivery Management Officer reports to the Manager AUS.

 

GBS IM Services is the global service delivery unit within GBS, under the responsibility of the GPO IM. GBS IM Services is responsible for the (End-to-End) IT services provided to the BU/BAs and the end-users (33.000+) across the globe. This group is responsible for simplifying, standardizing, globalizing and automating processes. A large part of the service delivery activities is sourced from external strategic partners. In this role you are expected to work for two departments with GBS IM, AUS and EUS. Furthermore, you will work closely together with some of our key suppliers, e.g. Orange Business Services (OBS) and HCL.

Responsibilities 

 

Develops, implements and continuously drives cost optimizations both within Akzonobel as with our strategic partners. 

 

  • Ensures all outstanding invoices and disputes are handled.   
  • Supports with month-end closures, quarterly and annual budget rounds.
     

Interaction with other departments  

 

  • Build trusted relationships with the business and colleagues from both GBS IM and IM  
  • Has frequent interaction with finance, procurement and P2P department.
  • Able to (re-)establish relations with various financial departments of our key suppliers. 

What do you bring?

Experience / Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance 
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with a multinational organization, preferably in manufacturing
  • Excellent MS Excel skills and other finance/data tools
  • Experience in reporting is preferred.
