Job Purpose

The IM Business information Manager has the overall responsibility of serving as the strategic interface between the Global Process Owner (GPO), BU and/or Process Tower (through the GPO) for the purpose of business information and value management, strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. The IM BIM serves at the business relationship link between business and IM at the executive level. The IM BIM provides highly valued, strategic, consulting level support and guidance through key IT initiatives and also define a strategic IM road map together with business on digital innovation and acceleration. They communicate decisions, priorities, relevant project information to appropriate level of staff.

Proactively share knowledge of technology risks and present opportunities to build competitive advantage through growth opportunity development or by increasing efficiency and effectiveness of the Business and Function. IM BIM partners with business and function leadership and key stakeholders to define opportunities and to prioritize projects.

 
The IM BIM proactively serves as a trusted & strategic advisor and is the primary IM point of contact of the GPO/GPDL, business line executives and managers for new or approved IT business demand and requirements to manage and control together with GPO governance. Work closely with the business in defining the demand, analyze requirements and implement information solutions for the business. They understand market challenges, including customer priorities and issues related to the competition. Responsible to measure the value management /benefits realized in the organization as defined in the business cases during projects. Assessing progress in realization, measuring achieved improvements/results. They serve a lead role in enabling the GPO Process Tower to achieve objectives through the effective use of technology.

 
The IM Business information Manager reports into the Director Business Information management in the IM Demand organization. Responsible for strategic IM planning, budgets, and value realization aligned with the Process Tower (i.e. GPO A2G, Legal, Communications) (or BU, if applicable), IM strategy. Responsible to maintain business relationships, identifying business needs and ensuring that IM is able to meet these business needs and expectations.
 

Key responsibilities

Business Relationship Management
•    Drive and enhance relationships with key business/ function stakeholders, actively manage their expectations and satisfaction
•    Key player as orchestrator, connector and Navigator towards vital role between business and IM being a trusted/Strategic advisor.
•    Represent business/ function ambitions, requirements on business needs on IM towards the IM organization and represent IM on business/ function executive level
•    Enforce that relevant stakeholders are involved in specification of new services and/or major upgrades to existing services
•    Establish sufficient and coherent IM communication towards the business/ functions
•    Identify opportunity & drive on Digital innovation and capabilities in alignment with business strategy to enable digital transformation within the business function. 
 

Business Technology Management

•    Co-create Process Tower (or BU, if applicable) IM Strategy and Budget in coordination and alignment with the GPO (A2G, Legal, Communications)
•    Enable strategic and innovative thinking in the business through clear articulation of IM capabilities and proactive value propositions
•    Use system and process knowledge to provide (business process) harmonization opportunities and ensure the process compliance are adhered.
•    Ensure coherence in strategic development of IM in line with agreed Enterprise Architecture
•    Ensure that IM demand is understood, and where agreed, captured and prioritized in PPM (Waterfall and Agile)
•    Validate all IM demand is assessed; aligned with business strategy and architecture; quantified and checked for feasibility including appropriate project delivery method Agile and Waterfall
•    Develop high quality business requirements in order to ensure proper estimation of cost, time and resources can be done during demand shaping
•    Develop an ideation culture and facilitate on go / no go for new ideas including digital innovation.
•    Challenge the business case during IPM stages to realize the value management.
•    Develop project estimates & complete financial model (costs, savings, revenue opportunities, investment horizon, etc.) together with the CoE’s
•    Orchestrate through IM CoE’s to get to high level solution architectures for the IT platform and projects on delivery process enabled technology solution.
•    Orchestrate through with GBS-IM Service Delivery Manager to ensure IM Services are documented through Business Service Level Agreements
•    Manage, track and report on IM Budget and realization
•    Manage, track and report on Process Tower or BU IM Objectives and Scorecard in alignment with IM
•    To actively measure and manage value of services as defined in the business case after project completion
•    To provide fact-based evidence of generated value using technology
•    Participate in field research in pursuit of new solution and to evaluate fit for business purpose cost effective solutions.
•    Help to identify IM delivery conflicts, recommending escalation where appropriate for resolution.
 

What do you bring?

Experience / Education 
•    Bachelor / master’s degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study 
•    Excellent process understanding and knowledge and experience in Information Technology.
•    > 8 years relevant experience in demand management or account management role in an industry environment. 
•    Excellent collaboration and communication skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills 
•    Good in building lasting value-added relationships and stakeholder management skills.
•    Experience in business process analysis, defining / implementing user requirements in IT Platform/program/projects
•    Sparring partner for Senior executive level and adding value here 
•    Broad interest in and knowledge of process enabled technology and Digital innovation mindset.
•    Strong in strategic topics, adding value to vision and strategy 
•    3-5 years’ experience in managing stakeholders in business environment.
•    Good facilitator in getting commitment and buy-in
