In short:
The Quality Manager role at AkzoNobel is responsible for creating and maintaining an SMU-wide quality management system, ensuring that our products and services meet internal and external requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations. This role contributes to achieving the sales, expense, and profitability targets established by the SMU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the SMU specific quality strategy to secure customer certification, product quality, and process quality.
- Create and maintain an SMU wide quality management system (ISO based).
- Review customer requirements and ensure they are met.
- Lead, support, and participate in quality-related activities such as business improvement projects and customer satisfaction activities.
- Support procurement to set quality requirements from external suppliers and participate in supplier audits.
What do you bring?
The ideal candidate for this role will have a high level of organizational skill, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail. The candidate should have experience in Quality Management and continuous improvement in a production environment. Knowledge of quality systems and audits is essential.
- HBO/ WO work/think level and education in (technical) business administration, engineering, or quality.
- 3-5 years experience with Quality Management (QC, QA) and continuous improvement in production environment.
- Knowledge and experience with quality systems (such as ISO 9001 or product/market specific systems) and quality audits.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt is a pré).
- Experience or demonstrable affinity in a managerial role and management role.
- Professional level English
- Fluent in Dutch OR Professional level of Dutch, minimum C1/C2 level (speaking, writing, reading, listening)
