Purpose of the job

We looking for an experienced, hands-on HSE&S Business Partner with a human a human approach, proven track
record in the chemical industry and a passion for safety improvement. The HSE&S Business Partner leads the
deployment and delivery of the AkzoNobel HSE&S strategy and objectives to our manufacturing site in Groot-Ammers. You will be part of the local management team and report directly to the Site Manager.

 

You will focus on the following areas as your key responsibility:

 

  • Strategy and policy: Develop policies and objectives for the assigned unit and contribute to the development of the strategy on a level higher;
  • Year plan/budget: Ensure development, manage and ensure realization year plan/budget for theassigned unit, acquire approval, ensure and manage execution and deliver results;
  • Organization development: Evaluate organizational design, (work)processes and systems and initiateand implement changes and improvements;
  • People management and development: Attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop employees,ensure staffing and stimulate talent(management);
  • Knowledge and information management: Keep up with internal and external developments and ensure development, transfer and retention of knowledge and information;
  • Management information: Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses;
  • Relations management: Build and maintain a network of in- and external stakeholders/partners and represent the organization;
  • Projects: Define, plan, manage and co-ordinate assigned (portfolio of) projects and ensure execution and delivery.

  • Bachelor in HSE&S or engineering or a related discipline;
  • 3-5 years work experience in a similar role within manufacturing preferably in chemical industry;
  • Fluent in the Dutch language. Any additional language beside English is a plus.

  • problem solving, project management, business acumen;
  • Very good verbal and written English language skills;
  • Relevant experience in different multiple units, disciplines, locations and/or other companies;
  • Broad (people) management capabilities.
